The Latest in skincare

How to protect and rejuvenate our skin as we age. We can see what our skin needs, it is written in the lines, dark age spots, sagging and general loss of "joie-de-vivre"  on our faces. As the years advance looking after our skin becomes more and more important. Maybe when we were younger we could get away with paying less attention to our daily routines, however now skincare really does matter. If you are on the quest for a new super cream, there's never been a better time, as science in all areas develops at an ever increasing pace. Many of these new areas of research are adding to the knowledge available to formulate skin creams that really work in assisting us in ageing elegantly and healthily, without resorting to more drastic interventions (which if you are a regular reader you will know is not the route I personally choose to take).

In previous posts I have discussed my own individual quest over the last year to find effective skincare products that will return some of the lost "bloom" to my complexion. So I pricked up my ears when I was emailed details of the latest scientific product being launched. It goes by the name of MitoQ. It has a vast amount of scientific research to back up it's claims, which I will talk about shortly. However I want to get to the exciting part of this post.

You are invited to be in the vanguard of the skincare revolution and be one of the first 500 to try out this pioneering new product for yourself.

All you have to do is:-
  1. Go to the MitoQ Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/Mitoq?fref=ts
  2. Click on the like symbol and let them know that you are interested in taking part in the trial.
  3. They will then contact you personally.
In my opinion "the proof is in the eating as they say" or in this case in the trying. My bottle has arrived on my desk today and I can't wait to try it. I already love the packaging, very chic and elegant.
I should hurry if you want to be involved as there are only 500 places available and they are filling up quickly.

Introducing MitoQ, the new kid on the block. Inspired and pioneered by top international medical research. What is it exactly and what sets it apart from the many others on the market? Without blinding you with science here are some of its credentials.

The product contains a patented molecule, conceived by biologist Mike Murphy and designed by chemist Rob Smith. Its origin is in research to reverse degenerative conditions where the cells in the body are no longer able to effectively combat the effects of free radicals (I am sure many of us will have heard of these bad guys). Our bodies naturally produce CoQ10 as a natural antioxidant to counterbalance these pesky free radicals. When our cells degenerate our production of Quinone, the Q in CoQ10 diminishes and our cells become increasingly affected.
The symptoms of what we refer to as "signs of ageing" are in fact a result of the same dysfunction that leads to certain degenerative diseases. What we call wrinkles are in fact scar tissue and liver spots and blemishes are caused by cells that struggle to regulate melanin properly. Should you want to find out more about the science behind this cream you can find it online at MitoQ

MitoQ prefers to talk about healthy ageing as opposed to the term anti-ageing, which is actually impossible if you think about it. The cream is available in Australia and is currently launching in the UK, and in the USA in May (though I am informed that my US readers can still register their interest now, with a full trial scheduled in May). The cream is designed to compliment or replace your usual moisturising routine. The difference is that it delivers Quinone to your cells in a way nothing else can.

Disclaimer: I am not receiving any financial reward for writing this post, except for receiving a free bottle of the cream, which is also available to you if you choose to join in. As I have not started using the cream I will be at the same stage as all of you and will be writing about my experiences in about 4 to 5 weeks time.

"The quality of our skin so often defines the quality of how we look."

Thank you for reading. I really love to hear from you and appreciate the time you take to leave comments.

MitoQ sounds great, but it's the long term effects of any treatment - beauty or medical- about which I am weary. The much hailed nano particles found in sunscreens, skin care products and makeup are now "under a cloud" if used frequently over many years. When it comes to MitoQ, unfortunately I think my caution gene will over-ride my desire to look youthful gene.
Looking forward to reading you report on this new product. Bisous

Oh my dear, don't we fret about our skin!! I hope this will be the miracle elixir we are waiting for. Like you, I have opted not to do anything that nature did not intend, such as Botox or cosmetic surgery.

Please keep us updated.

Thanks for the info -- my free sample is on the way. Will be excited to see what you and I, along with your other readers, think about it.

Though I truly believe good cosmetics can help, I doubt the eternal youth elixir exists. Who knows: this one might do miracles........ Let us know :-)

I don't have Facebook and I've got lots of creams to finish (mostly because I don't use them enough !) but I like the expression "losing its joie de vivre". That's exactly it !
